He's a Traveling Man

Colin is becoming a pro traveler!  He's made numerous trips to Cleveland, regularly journeys to Philadelphia, has flown down to Naples and back, visited the Jersey Shore, and a few weeks back spent the weekend in Bethesda, MD.

While in Bethesda Colin visited with Dylan, Anna and David.  He met them originally back in December but I'm pretty sure he didn't remember them since he was only 9 months old at the time and pretty much just hung out with mom.  This time he was overjoyed to play with the big kids.  And play he did!

Some of the Colin highlights included:

• Climbing up onto the table with David
• Wrestling with Dylan
• Chewing on Anna's Crocs
• Walking in David's Crocs (which were waaay to big on him!)
• Swinging in the back yard
• Climbing on the step-stool (David taught him!)
• Running in circles between the family room and dining room
• Playing knock-knock through the french doors of the office
• Peeking out the bottom window panes next to the front door
• Playing with the plastic fruit
• Twirling the knobs for the stove (and then saying "no-no-no" imitating his mother's reaction when he first found them and turned on the gas burner)
• Playing in Anna's life-sized toy house, complete with doors that open and close, a Colin-height window for peeking out, and shutters
• Miniature shopping carts
• Super-sugary cinnamon Chex cereal

Colin didn't enjoy the pool as much as I hoped (he fell asleep in my arms, and napped through our entire swim session as I chatted with Mary), but at least he stayed cool and refreshed while he napped.  No small feat considering it was well over 90º and humid to boot!
