I can stand!
Shortly before 4:00 today Colin was playing on the floor of our living room. He pulled himself up and was standing holding onto me and an empty can of Pringles. No big deal. Then he took the can from me, and was holding it. And nothing else. NOTHING... he was STANDING!!!!!!!!! It lasted about 5 seconds, after which he reached over and (casually) grabbed my shirt again.
But he did it. For the very first time. At 10 1/2 months.
As a side note, this week he also started walking with assistance (i.e. I hold onto his hands, and he moves his legs).
I think walking is in the near future. I expect I'll lose about 15 pounds chasing after him, 'cause this kid has one speed, and that's Ferrari-fast.
