Dogs and Apples

Today as Colin was really working out hard.  ON top of his usualy pre-crawling (i.e. up on all fours, rocking front and back) he did a full plank, and not the sissy version on your knees.  The boy was up on his toes!  Then, since that was apparently just his warmup he next began practicing a yoga move known as Downward Facing Dog.  We weren't sure if this was just a somewhat odd attempt to crawl, or if he was planning something else entirely, but it was entertaining for us!

He also had his first taste of apple today (aside from chewing on an apple core).  He seemed a little unsure about it, since the apple was a bit tart.  Actually, unsure isn't quite right - he made a serious yuck face.  So I mixed it with some sweet potato which made it more palatable sinced sweet potatoes are still his fave.  Tonight for dinner he kept lunging, open-mouthed, at the spoon to get his next bite of sweeetie-po-tay-to!  The kid is just nuts for them!  And, of course, his oatmeal is still an acceptable accompanyment to his fruits and veggies.  Now I just need to decide what is next on the menu... perhaps something really exciting like... peas.
