Saturday Morning

Colin woke up, snuggled with his mama (including a full-body hug with a slightly-too-tight choke-hold around the neck), made Daddy smell his feet, drank a bunch of water, asked for a few books to be read (including, of course, Big Red Barn!), said good morning to Sydney, petted his cat Seamus, then got out of bed.

He moseyed into the bathroom (mama in tow) to have his face washed and his teeth brushed (he used his Elmo toothbrush, Mom used the one depicting Bert and Ernie).  Then a clean diaper and a change from his moose footy pajamas into clothes, followed by a high-speed tummy-slide down the stairs while clutching the iTouch.  He then sat happily on the sofa playing Itsy Bitsy Spider while Mom started breakfast.

Mom moved him to the high-chair in preparation for the meal and Colin asked (repeatedly, and thankfully with a "pweeeeze" or two) for Nemo, so a DVD was turned on and everyone's favorite little orange clown fish resumed his entertaining antics.

Froggy
Colin finished his sausage and was working on his eggs when he saw... GASP!... his applesauce.  (Mom had tried ineffectually to hide it behind the napkins hoping that he would finish the rest of his breakfast first.  Fat chance!)  Forget the eggs: APPY-SAUCE!!!!  He devoured every last drop of the feted appysauce, then proclaimed "aaallll done" and after a quick bye-bye to daddy (who was leaving for work) is now walking his frog around the house.

Soon we'll bundle up and take Sydney for a walk, then a quick trip to the playground before lunch and swim class at 12:30.  Just an average Saturday for the little guy.

PHEW - with days like this its no wonder kids need a nap!!
