Visiting and Parks
Today around 1PM the dogs ran to the front door barking like mad. I walked over assuming it was a delivery (because we are trying to do as much "shopping" from home). It wasn't a delivery truck though... it was Colin and Ryan's friend Nilay. He lives in our development, and walked over just to say hello. Both of my boys tried to open the front door to go hang out with their friend. I jumped in and gave a firm re-direct, so they said hello through our kitchen window which I opened a couple of inches. The poor kid had on a mask, and only stayed a moment, but it was so incredibly nice that he stopped by.
On a more somber note, the NJ governor today signed an executive order formally closing all state parks and forests, and county parks. So any weekend hiking we may have considered is a no-go. If this doesn't get people's attention I don't know what will... we really have to stay home to kick this stupid virus to the curb.
So far we are still allowed to go for outdoor exercise, but that isn't the case everywhere. In France they have made it off-limits to exercise (including walking and jogging) anywhere in Paris between the hours of 10AM and 7PM. I'm sure other countries are watching, and may follow suit if it helps curb the spread.
