Tasty Toesies

If you practice yoga you've probably heard of a pose called "happy feet" or "happy baby".  It is pretty straightforward - you lay on your back, and grab your left foot in your left hand, right foot in your right hand.  Assuming you can get that far, you then straighten your legs and you get a great stretch.  (If you're a yoga expert please forgive any errors in my description!)

Well, Colin learned how to do "happy feet" and then took it a step further.  He has managed to put his foot (toes and then some) in his mouth.  And is now trying to coordinate putting both feet in his mouth at the same time.  He can't get enough of this, and does it nearly every time I'm trying to change his diaper.  (This timing is considered baby-optimal because it makes it extra-challenging with a cherry on top for me to change his diaper while he has a foot in his mouth.  If you're wondering why, just think about the physical logistics of putting on a diaper while someone has their foot in their mouth.  Add some wiggling and rolling side to side for fun.)

I consider this all the more entertaining because a day will come, a few years (or decades) down the road, when Colin will consider the idea of touching his toes a significant challenge, and the concept of actually putting his foot in his mouth will be laughable.  (At least physically.  If he's anything like his parents jamming his foot in his mouth in a metaphorical sense will come naturally!)  But for now, it couldn't be easier for him, and apparently he must have very tasty toesies because he can't get enough of them!!
