Requesting Permission

The other morning Colin was lounging on the bed after I woke him up from his nap.  He was very relaxed, rolled over and told me, "Mommy, if you want to kiss me you ask 'May I kiss you?'  and I'll say "Yes, you can kiss me.'  If you want to hug me, though, you can just hug me."

And since he was so incredibly specific, I asked for permission to give him a kiss (he said yes) and then took my hug.  Too funny.
