It's OK, Baby Ryan
Last night Ryan was crying, upset because I had the audacity to put him down when he wanted to be held. Unfortunately I have a limited number of hands and arms, and was trying to get Colin dressed after his bath.
I had Ryan on our bed, laying on his belly propped up on a "boppy" pillow. He will usually play with a toy when in this position, but he was tired, cranky, and simply not interested in anything but snuggling, a snack, and bedtime.
Colin was on his back, and was looking up over his shoulder at the extremely unhappy baby as I tried to put a diaper on him (on Colin, not the baby), but I ran into a delay.
Colin (naked as a jay-bird) flipped over to sit on his knees, leaned over while facing the baby so they were roughly eye-to-eye, and incredibly gently patted the baby on the cheek crooning, "It's OK, BabyRyan, it's OK." Surprisingly, Ryan looked at his brother, stopped crying, and gave him a little grin. It was short-lived, and then he started crying again, but for one brief moment Colin's soft touch made his little brother happy.
AWWWW!
