Musical Taste
Not surprisingly our boys love music. They both love to sing, and each of their dance moves are unique. They both instantly recognize Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, and U2, and Creedence. They can recognize Green Day within just a few notes. Their favorite band is probably Fall Out Boy and we even took them to a concern this summer: a joint (ha ha) ticket with Whiz Khalifa and Fall Out Boy.
But their musical tastes are very different.
Colin is very solidly a pop-rock guy. He loves Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Selena Gomez, Justin Beiber and Jason DeRulo, and just about any one-hit-wonder who comes along.
Ryan also likes some of the pop songs, especially Bruno Mars' Uptown Funk. But his true musical taste is hard core. He likes KORN, Rage Against the Machine, Incubus, and the like. The other day a song came on, and I kid you not he asked me, "Mommy, is this the song where he's in the band, or the one he sings just by himself?" The song was Dragula by Rob Zombie - he wanted to confirm if it was Rob Zombie as a solo artist, or if it was by White Zombie (the band he fronts).
