Surprise Apple

Today when I went to pick up Colin from school the teacher was trying to ask me if it was OK for Colin to have a snack before leaving. She said "Is it OK for Colin to have an A-P-P-L-E?"

Colin immediately said, "Mommy, say YES- I want an apple!"

She was shocked that he knew what she spelled. I just smiled, thinking about this weekend when he (without any assistance) sounded out the word "Africa" when playing a new app/game on the iPad.

I am so proud of him, but also realize that I am losing the ability to talk about things secretly in front of him. Yikes!!!
