Play those numbers!
When Colin was born back in April he weighed 6 pounds 13 ounces. That is in spite of the ultrasound estimate weeks earlier that showed him as over 7 pounds. No big deal.
Then last month, friends on Staten Island had their daughter... a couple of weeks early... and she weighed... 6 pounds 13 ounces. How's that for bizarre?
Not enough?
Today, friends down in North Carolina had their first child. A daughter they named Isabella James (isn't that a great name?!?!), who arrived at 9:15AM. And Isabella James weighed... 6 pounds 13 ounces.
You might think this is no big deal, but we're talking about vastly different gene pools. Colin is mostly European, with 25% Indian. Jeff and Jamie are both tall (she's nearly 6 foot!), with all European ancestry. And the other little girl is 50% Japanese and 50% Italian. And yet somehow they all showed up exactly the same! I guess that's the trendy weight for babies this year - nice of Colin to set the fashion!
Two more babies to go this year... and if there's a baby weight/date pool I can tell you what my guess will be: 6 pounds, 13 ounces!!!
